GeoGraffiti.com - Voice Mark the World | Visit GeoGraffiti.com: "GeoGraffiti enables the open exchange of location-specific opinions and advice in Voice Mark form with any phone. Users can virtually “mark” real world places by publishing a Voice Mark message. A Voice Mark is a short voice message captured via phone that shares information (e.g. opinions, tips, warnings, advice) about a venue, event, promotion, or really anything else one cares to share. Voice Marks are linked to a locality using a zip code, or geo-tagged to an exact spot on the earth using latitude/longitude coordinates. While visiting different places throughout the day, GeoGraffiti enables anybody with a phone to express opinions and local insight by publishing a Voice Mark – leaving a virtual information mark behind to be heard by those who follow. Conversely, those who follow can search GeoGraffiti for Voice Mark content while on location when the information is most pertinent."

Prince-Edward-Island Heritage-Future Generation: Throne Speach 2008 PEI

Prince-Edward-Island Heritage-Future Generation: Throne Speach 2008 PEI: "A society which has a strong sense of its collective past and values is better prepared for its future. My Government strongly believes that by strengthening our cultural knowledge and pride in our Island that our identity will be even further enhanced.

That sense of Island identity is extremely important in a rapidly changing world. It will help moor us to our past while permitting us to embark on an inspired new future.

To this end, my Government will:

* begin implementation of the current Provincial Heritage Review;
* begin the development of an Island studies course for inclusion in our school system;
* increase our knowledge of the Island’s past through increased support to archaeological research in the province;
* strengthen our cultural industries by supporting the artisans and artists who lend so much to the evolving Island identity; and
* recognize the vital contribution of Island seniors to our cultural landscape by calling upon many to contribute their experience to the visual arts, story-telling, oral history, performance, literary arts and other areas. To that end, discussions have already been held with a seniors’ organization to begin the co-ordination of this cultural engagement project – which will provide lasting benefits to future generations.'"

Working On The Railway

  1. Map old stations and buildings, bridges,communities and railway people and their stories along the Confederation Trail.
  2. Digitalize artifacts and pictures and stories about the Prince Edward Island Railway
  3. Create a Prince Edward Island Railway Digital Collection based upon it's historical connections to Canada and Prince Edward Island joining together in 1873 as a nation of people.
  4. Link Atlantic Canada to the Prince Edward Island Railway.

Open Source Public Domain.

Open source - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "Open source is a development methodology,[1] which offers practical accessibility to a product's source (goods and knowledge). Some consider open source as one of various possible design approaches, while others consider it a critical strategic element of their operations. Before open source became widely adopted, developers and producers used a variety of phrases to describe the concept; the term open source gained popularity with the rise of the Internet, which provided access to diverse production models, communication paths, and interactive communities."

The Future Generations Model uses this fundamental development methodology in it's partnerships.

This new 3d railway Supplementary curriculum is created with a goal to present the history of the Prince Edward Island Railway and Canada's Confederation history and geography using games and supplemental social studies curriculums.

Our product has a universality and connection to the stations and the communities across Canada.

The Future Generation starts on Prince Edward Island in communities like York and Douglas Station and Charlottetown and Alberton and continues out to the Atlantic Stations and than will move out to the western and northern regions of our country.

There is an large opportunity on Prince Edward Island for Prince Edward Island Railway Stations to be discovered and preserved.

Our new content is about The Prince Edward Island railway stations in times and places in Prince Edward Island history for public domain and open source .

New Vehicles Tune In And Turn On To Reverse Geocoding Technologies

New vehicles tune in and turn on to reverse geocoding technologies.

Our current focus is to geocode and map the communities railway heritage sites and to digitalize the information for Future Generation 3D Virtual Mapping -For Public domain and Open Source geo-caching and mapping technologies .

Our heritage content can be hosted in any community domain on demand

Community platforms called Stations will connect to existing community sites to create new digital archives for the Community in the public Domain and for open source .

Communities win and so do cultural sector workers who work to learn more about this marketplace and are looking for creative innovations in cultural tourism technologies .

These "Stations" are than connected together to form a virtual railway that connects geospatal links and reverse geocoding to your cell phone ,internet, or your car.

The train will stop at places like Douglas Station to learn about Canadians who took the train to battle and you will vist the places of honor created by the communities to remember this sacrifice in places like St Peters and Souris and Douglas Station and York and every little station and town in north America, Europe and Asia.

Our Stations will tell stories about people and events in the towns history as well as current events and festivals and it will center around the Railway legacy the Confederation Trail for Future Generations.

This project requires the skills and the desire to work together and to create an open and transparent project that works to win at the knowledge economy level especially in the cultural sectors hub.

It is based upon existing learning models developed to learn experientially and inter generational.

Step one : involves mapping the sites we know about from our research paid for by the Prince Edward Island Government since 1983.

No learning product exist like the Future Generation Project.

  1. Our island will lead the way in new Trail Safty
  2. We will map and TAG existing sites about the Prince Edward Island Railway.
  3. Future Generations will build upon our capacity to create 3d learning technologies and 3d digital games here on Prince Edward Island.
  4. Our model is a process that engages communities to tell their stories about their stations and invites the world to visit and experience their heritage.
  5. Content is linked to Geocode and open source public domain for Google maps and yahoo maps currently used in cell phones and vehicles to find directions and events .

Coming up next:
Future Generation is designed for open source public domain IP

Trails and Content Mapping

We would like to start gathering information about the trails railway heritage .

The trail is the link and the connection to our future generations project.

Our railway tracks and trails tell a unique Prince Edward Island story .

We would like to look at ways we can connect existing trails with technology for safety and learning about Prince Edward Island Railway heritage.

Heritage content is key for Future Generations Project.

We would like to use our skills development models.

We would like to work with the Kier Gallery as lead agency.

We believe this would increase our opportunity to work with artists from the community and build cultural capacity in both the Kier Gallery and the Artists in our community using technology and new media and film/HD tools in production and development.

The Kier Gallery has the proven track record with our team and connects with the island artists and island communities.

Providing our project with the studio space and the hub to produce this project.
