What's innovative about the tools MODE creates to track and locate content on the Internet?
What's innovative about the tools MODE creates to track and locate content on the Internet?
Since my introduction to the CN Pensioners in 2005 from Ron Mac Neil and Frank Butler and
our work with Community and Cultural Affairs and Tourism PEI and Technology and Education
and Transportation and Public Works and the development a Adhoc committee in the City of
Charlottetown a development process began in July 2004
Sense 2004 when I created MODE.
MODE's experience with Veterans Affairs and HRDC and The Partnership Fund along with The
Birthplace initiative and Charlottetown's 125 celebration propasal with the City Of Charlottetown
has been positive and has followed all protocols asked..The result was the Formation of an
Adhoc Committee within the City of Charlottetown to fulfill and achieve it railway heritage
objectives set out to council and the province and MODE new media group.
In this time frame MODE has provided and produces content IP in three core themes that centre
around the MODE Railway model and has been developed and produced on the Internet and for
social networks and New Media by MODE.
The IP is based upon a railway Model and a new Content logistics process called the M.O.D.E.
Railway Model.
1. These tools are under the Service Mark Youpicks and Geopicks (keywords for MODE
search engines and Google tools,Yahoo tools,)
2. These tools were created because of a need to create and present cultural content for Prince
edward Island railway heritage and supplemental curriculum tools.
3. Robert Trainor CN pensioner helped me understand and develop this Model further in 2005.
4. The CN Pensioners Association Council #9 and the City Of Charlottetown and The
Government Of Prince Edward Island and Veterans Affairs Canada ,Founder's Hall and UPEI as
well many other community groups like The Kier Gallery and The Guild that provided MODE
new Media group and The CN Pensioners with partnership to achieve the goals and objectives
we sent out to accomplish in 2005 as a team and partnership.
5. MODE new Media Group worked with Robert Trainor from 2005 -2008 and the CN
Pensioners Association to develop and create The Future Generation Project.
6. MODE developed The Future Generations Project with Robert Trainor after August 2005.
7. To collect and project content so that the history and geography of The Prince Edward Island
Railway and it's cultural heritage is not forgotten.
8. Development of The Future Generation Project has stretched over four years of constant
development and production continues today.
9. Stories Of The Railway remains our creative work.
10. Robert Trainor represented the CN Pensioners Association and Keith Kennedy represented
MODE New Media and Simon Loyd and leo Cheverie the Robertson library and Bethany Dorion
and Vicky Allen Cook The Department of Education and Harry Holman Community and
Cultural Affairs and Ron mac Neil Tourism and Wayne Long The City of Charlottetown.(see
letters and content on file and online .)
11. Our goals and Objectives were recorded and were set in an Adhoc Committee set up By
Kim Devine at City Council in Oct 2007 and adopted by the entire council.
12. In Addition to This The premiere of the Day acknowledged our work in the house as a good
job done in bring forward this important work.
13. Over my 26 years on the island I have been involved in my community initiatives and to a
large extent in Youth programs and INTERNET software for prevention. In 1992 I created a new
media Film production to present the Adventure Group to Prince Edward Island and have been
involved in many media projects sense that time.
14. Our organization provided the first Island Computer lab to at Risk youth in 1994-2000
before Cap sites were created.
15. I developed and created and produced the first of many pilot programs for youth like the
ROPES Course and The Skate Park and it is here that our first software project were Co-designed
with Maitland Mac Iassac and CLIA and as well many leadership and experincial Workshops for
Holland College and UPEI and Universities all over the maritime's.
Keith Kennedy's(president of MODE productions) record extends into many areas of new
innovation and the new IP tools for collection and presentation of new media content.
Robert Trainor CN Pensioners Association ,MODE New Media Group are the co-creators of the
Stories of The railway and the Future Generation Project and based upon clear development and
production partnership goals set out in proposals and program protocols.

Have sat on 30 + Board Of directors over the past twenty five years on PEI .
founding member for the Adventure Group, Founding members The Food Kitchen, Founding
members CHANCES....The Prince Edward Island Cultural Sector, More ...
I have sat in on many federal government presentations to Parliament and provincial studies.
Presented papers and briefs and policy suggestions and offered direction as a result of heritage
and knowledge economies.
I am also a musician and play several instruments for service groups to raise money and offer
help to the community at time of need.
I paint and have had several exhibitions in Charlottetown.
I believe in creating sustainable project engines that run on Motive Power.
I now spend my time creating and producing social networks and publish this content about The
Prince Edward Island Railway.
I hope this helps introduce me Gordon but as you know I have left out so much of the work on
Energy and Bio fuels that interests me so much with the Grow and Press model 2007.
I have produced The Future Generation Project and content IP using MODE company
development and production resources sense 2004 and still offered my services to Robert Trainor
of the CN pensioners association with an understanding of clear exchange of service and for
future work and production opportunities.
I hope to correct the lack of awareness regarding our work and the CN pensioners and will
continue with MODE IP to develop and produce cultural content.
I continue to offer the MODE SM and IP to collect and project cultural content as set out in my
Business plan developed in 2004 and submitted to the province of Prince Edward Island for
approval in 2004 Tiled MODE Business Plan 2004
In it I outline how I will work with groups that wish to preserve and protect their heritage and
content.
And Gordon to conclude this self explanation and past achievements list of production and
management experience. It is the things I did not achieve that spur me on.
Thanks for you time, hope this helps in trying to explain my lifes effort put forth to date
regarding preservation and collection innovations and IP tools I have created to track and train
content for future generations.
However after all the time and effort we have put forth it seems we live in a society that does not
respect the creative efforts of it's citizenship.
I am disappointed I have to defend my creative works that I have offered and shared in exchange
for future opportunities of production and development. In good faith.
It does not alter me as an artist or creative person.
I pushes me to become better.
However I have taken great lengths to insure my company MODE is included in the work and
service I have conducted over the past four years with the partnership we created to do so.
It was this reason why Richard Brown convened a Joint committee meeting regarding IP and
Cultural tourism technologies and to appreciate this effort and concern I expressed at the time
this meeting was convened in 2007 Sept. present ..Buck Watts, Robert Vessey, Ritchard Brown,
Robert Trainor, Harry Holman on behalf of the minister, Education representatives Bethany
Dorion, Tourism representatives for technology. Bruce Matheson and MODE new media to
identify and protect the work we developed and to work together.
I have left a lot out but hope this helps in understanding further our production path and
development path and please feel free to continue to help me understand the process better.

Moving from Enterprise Location Data to Location Intelligence, Part 2 - Articles

Moving from Enterprise Location Data to Location Intelligence, Part 2 - Articles: "Application Software and Middleware
There's a choice of quality software and services for GPS-based solutions. Enterprise applications tend to be vertically oriented to specific industry needs. For example, there are fleet tracking applications in transportation, supply chain and logistics. In the retail and advertising industries, there are point-of-interest content-based applications that use site selection software for buildings and advertisements, respectively. Leading-edge vendors are awaking to the opportunities emerging in RTLS in which their products may be extended to capture or create new value."
Moving from Enterprise Location Data to Location Intelligence, Part 1 - Articles
Moving from Enterprise Location Data to Location Intelligence, Part 1 - Articles: "Enterprises are awakening to the amount of location information collecting in their decision support systems. Leaders are beginning to ask how to better leverage the 'where' in operational and strategic decisions. And yet, enterprise managers take a diverse rather than unified approach to managing location information and technology investments. Systems remain disconnected. Location information quality is handled in an ad hoc manner on an application-by-application basis - not enterprise-wide. As a result, information gaps exist throughout the various functional areas of the enterprise."

GPSAds > GPS Points of Interest, GPS Based Advertising, GPS Based Ads, GPS Marketing, Marketing Advertising, Garmin GPS, Tom Tom GPS: "'Location-based services' describes a range of applications that rely on knowing where you are -- from turn-by-turn navigation in a car to giving restaurant recommendations in particular neighborhoods. With increasingly powerful mobile gadgets connected to faster wireless networks, people and their digital lives are being pried loose from their desktops, dorm rooms, and houses.
As that happens, location becomes the foundation upon which to build all sorts of useful devices and services for consumers and businesses alike. 'Location helps build the next phase of the web,' said Anssi Vanjoki, head of Nokia's Multimedia Business Group, following the announcement of the Navteq bid.
When you know where people are, you can offer applications that will find their friends, their co-workers, or that very expensive piece of machinery they need to get their job done. You can deliver real-time traffic and weather information and city and restaurant guides -- and make money from it via advertising or fees."

timestranscript.com - P.E.I. plans MacDonald sculpture: "CHARLOTTETOWN - A new sculpture of Sir John A. Macdonald, Canada's first prime minister, will be gracing downtown Charlottetown by next summer.
Tourism Charlottetown, in partnership with several other organizations, has put out a request for proposals for artists to create a three-dimensional, life-size bronze sculpture of the famous politician.
Kim Green, the chief executive of Tourism Charlottetown, says Macdonald was chosen for the sculpture because 'he was central in forming Canada' and was a key player at the 1864 Charlottetown conference."

Railways in Film: "Railway films generally fit into one of the three following categories:
• Films in which trains are an essential backdrop and play an important, even essential role;
• Films in which a railway station is an essential backdrop;
• Films in which the railway is used as a prop in perhaps only one scene, but as an essential element to the film."

Railways in Film: "This article does not discuss documentary-type films showing rail travel or railways in action, because I am more interested in how the railway can be used as a prop or background in a film, and how it can create impact in a single scene. My intent is to show how a number of directors have made trains and stations an essential part of their films and skilfully used the railway to develop a story line for memorable movies."

GPS And The Confederation Trail.

This is a key component in our CTT model. MODE new media has been proposing GPS and 3d reconstruction of landmarks on the Confederation Trail. This would include Old train stations, homesteads, bridges, and community sites of heritage, related to the railway.
- How do we get this project up and running?
- The Future Generation project has been over looked . Why?
- We have shared our ideas with the province of Prince Edward island since 2005 .
- What do we have to do to get respect and help to develop our ideas.

Preserving The Prince Edward Island Railway

M.O.D.E. is developing smart search engines for the Future Generation Project.
If you scroll down this Blog you will see different kinds of search widgets and Keywords.
These are the MODE search engines.
Double click on any of the search engines on this site.
Each search engine is trained to find content based upon how it is programed.
The value of a MODE search engine is that they are focused on specific content related to Prince Edward Island Railway Stations .
Creating new content portals and hubs for a new CTT. (cultural tourism technology).
We have created a new tool for marketing and promoting Prince Edward Island.

GeoGraffiti.com - Voice Mark the World | Visit GeoGraffiti.com: "GeoGraffiti enables the open exchange of location-specific opinions and advice in Voice Mark form with any phone. Users can virtually “mark” real world places by publishing a Voice Mark message. A Voice Mark is a short voice message captured via phone that shares information (e.g. opinions, tips, warnings, advice) about a venue, event, promotion, or really anything else one cares to share. Voice Marks are linked to a locality using a zip code, or geo-tagged to an exact spot on the earth using latitude/longitude coordinates. While visiting different places throughout the day, GeoGraffiti enables anybody with a phone to express opinions and local insight by publishing a Voice Mark – leaving a virtual information mark behind to be heard by those who follow. Conversely, those who follow can search GeoGraffiti for Voice Mark content while on location when the information is most pertinent."

Prince-Edward-Island Heritage-Future Generation: Throne Speach 2008 PEI
Prince-Edward-Island Heritage-Future Generation: Throne Speach 2008 PEI: "A society which has a strong sense of its collective past and values is better prepared for its future. My Government strongly believes that by strengthening our cultural knowledge and pride in our Island that our identity will be even further enhanced.
That sense of Island identity is extremely important in a rapidly changing world. It will help moor us to our past while permitting us to embark on an inspired new future.
To this end, my Government will:
* begin implementation of the current Provincial Heritage Review;
* begin the development of an Island studies course for inclusion in our school system;
* increase our knowledge of the Island’s past through increased support to archaeological research in the province;
* strengthen our cultural industries by supporting the artisans and artists who lend so much to the evolving Island identity; and
* recognize the vital contribution of Island seniors to our cultural landscape by calling upon many to contribute their experience to the visual arts, story-telling, oral history, performance, literary arts and other areas. To that end, discussions have already been held with a seniors’ organization to begin the co-ordination of this cultural engagement project – which will provide lasting benefits to future generations.'"

Open source - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "Open source is a development methodology,[1] which offers practical accessibility to a product's source (goods and knowledge). Some consider open source as one of various possible design approaches, while others consider it a critical strategic element of their operations. Before open source became widely adopted, developers and producers used a variety of phrases to describe the concept; the term open source gained popularity with the rise of the Internet, which provided access to diverse production models, communication paths, and interactive communities."
The Future Generations Model uses this fundamental development methodology in it's partnerships.

New Vehicles Tune In And Turn On To Reverse Geocoding Technologies

New vehicles tune in and turn on to reverse geocoding technologies.
Our current focus is to geocode and map the communities railway heritage sites and to digitalize the information for Future Generation 3D Virtual Mapping -For Public domain and Open Source geo-caching and mapping technologies .
Our heritage content can be hosted in any community domain on demand
Community platforms called Stations will connect to existing community sites to create new digital archives for the Community in the public Domain and for open source .
Communities win and so do cultural sector workers who work to learn more about this marketplace and are looking for creative innovations in cultural tourism technologies .
These "Stations" are than connected together to form a virtual railway that connects geospatal links and reverse geocoding to your cell phone ,internet, or your car.
The train will stop at places like Douglas Station to learn about Canadians who took the train to battle and you will vist the places of honor created by the communities to remember this sacrifice in places like St Peters and Souris and Douglas Station and York and every little station and town in north America, Europe and Asia.
Our Stations will tell stories about people and events in the towns history as well as current events and festivals and it will center around the Railway legacy the Confederation Trail for Future Generations.
This project requires the skills and the desire to work together and to create an open and transparent project that works to win at the knowledge economy level especially in the cultural sectors hub.
It is based upon existing learning models developed to learn experientially and inter generational.
Step one : involves mapping the sites we know about from our research paid for by the Prince Edward Island Government since 1983.
No learning product exist like the Future Generation Project.
- Our island will lead the way in new Trail Safty
- We will map and TAG existing sites about the Prince Edward Island Railway.
- Future Generations will build upon our capacity to create 3d learning technologies and 3d digital games here on Prince Edward Island.
- Our model is a process that engages communities to tell their stories about their stations and invites the world to visit and experience their heritage.
- Content is linked to Geocode and open source public domain for Google maps and yahoo maps currently used in cell phones and vehicles to find directions and events .

Trails and Content Mapping

We would like to start gathering information about the trails railway heritage .
The trail is the link and the connection to our future generations project.
Our railway tracks and trails tell a unique Prince Edward Island story .
We would like to look at ways we can connect existing trails with technology for safety and learning about Prince Edward Island Railway heritage.
Heritage content is key for Future Generations Project.
We would like to use our skills development models.
We would like to work with the Kier Gallery as lead agency.
We believe this would increase our opportunity to work with artists from the community and build cultural capacity in both the Kier Gallery and the Artists in our community using technology and new media and film/HD tools in production and development.
The Kier Gallery has the proven track record with our team and connects with the island artists and island communities.
Providing our project with the studio space and the hub to produce this project.
